CFD Course homepage -
This webpage contains the course handouts and tutorials for their CFD course. The tutorials are centered around using Gambit and Fluent. The handouts contain concise CFD theory as wells as aspects to consider while setting up simulations in Fluent. There are snippets of information regarding the 'settings' to consider to implement the appropriate boundary conditions. This is where the course material scores over the conventional tutorials provided by software companies.

CFD Presentation :
Also stumbled across this presentation which provides supportive background material for CFD. The material is quite interesting as it answers several common questions in a concise manner, including questions related to numerical techniques. The best part is the visual method in which the numerical technique is effectively conveyed rather than using just the equations.

CFD Text Book
I found this book on
which has a collection of free textbooks, catering to several subjects. This book can serve as a great introduction to CFD for the beginner. It introduces the terms used in the Governing equations without complicating the interconnections and states the fundamental assumptions related to different equations based on the situation/physics. I found the language quite simple and easy to understand. A fundamental underrstanding of differential equations would definitely help. However, look elsewhere for detailed mathematical derivations and treatises.

This forum really needs no introduction as it is one of it's kind. A very comprehensive online portal related to CFD. Contains forums and links to software, both commercial and open source, interesting blogs and related websites. A CFD wiki exists as well, which is among the most popular references for concepts. It also has an excellent, international job board.

NAFEMS - Resources section
This section contains some concise and preliminary guidelines towards approaching a CFD analysis. The information is useful. It would also be worthwhile to go through the registered analysts section to contact experts/consultants in the field. NAFEMS is an upcoming organisation focussed on CFD validation and it could be worthwhile to contact them to take part in their activities as well.
